I like JVR but if Boston isn't willing to give up Carlo for Landy why would they do this? It's not the #1 and the second prospect Boston is balking at for Landy it's including Carlo or McAvoy that's the dealbreaker. Make it Zboril and a mid level prospect I'm in. No on Carlo.

Yes.... Let's give a young promising top 4 defenseman to a division rival on the up-swing. What could go wrong! If Boston isn't willing to give up Carlo for Landeskog, they're not going to move him for JVR. His contract may be cheaper, but the difference is around 1.25M AAV, and Landeskog is younger and signed for longer.

If you want a much cheaper option on LW in terms of assets, Bruins could look at Evander Kane. Despite the off ice issues, if the Bruins could get Buffalo to retain 1 mil of his salary, he'd be a good fit.
