It doesn’t.

Kerfoot is a downgrade from Debrusk. Brooks and Abramov are AHL caliber players only, no value. Does not save us cap space. Nothing in it for us.

You can’t just put someone on LTIR. They have to be injured and they have to be injured for a longer amount of time. You can’t just put players on LTIR so you don’t have to take their cap hit…

You can’t put Ladd on LTIR because he isn’t injured. And even if he were, adding LTIR hurts the Leafs, not helps.

Id rather have kerfoot than debrusk really. He's versatile, debrusk just skates up and down his wing and is invisible for half a season
