If pens are sellers at deadline and sell on rust. Most likely they will retain 50% and get more.

Not sure you want to give up a 1st for Georgiev who is a 1B at most right now.

I'd want more than that to take on 3 years of Kassian.

Paying another team in the Western Conference to take on Zack Kassian is a move I think would come back to haunt the Oilers. Why would anyone want to give that guy a reason to hate them, and put him in a position to extract his revenge several times a year?

Just cause they ask for a 1st doesn't mean you give it. They've been asking for the same price for 3 years now and haven't gotten it. You don't give up a 1st for a backup/1B goalie.

On the other hand, moving Koskinen back will also cost you some assets

Kassian is not even 4th liner he won’t do anything.

You are foolish if you think giving him away won't result in Kassian going completely beast mode every time he plays against the Oilers. Your players will get hurt.

I mean as a Leafs fan who wants McDavid in 5 years I'd say do it but you're betting on Georgiev having a breakthrough and improving significantly as he currently doesn't provide much of an upgrade over Koskinen.
