Miles Wood

Created by: SankFeravalli

Description
Is Miles Wood available, and if so what would he cost? 17 goals in 55 games is nothing to balk at. But has he not been used mostly in a bottom six role throughout his career? I feel like his trade value could be all over the board.

Compher is not something the Devils should consider in a trade. He adds nothing more than Wood does for the Devils needs and is more a cap dump for COL. This looks like a trade for the sake of a trade from NJs side.

It'll definitely cost more than that. But it's refreshing to see a Mile Wood trade not made by a Leafs fan.

Compher would need to be included to make the money work. He’s still an NHL player who can contribute to a bottom six and he’s signed for two seasons. His cap hit is a bit steep for what he brings to the table though. I wouldn’t call him a cap dump, but I don’t think he adds much/any positive value to a trade like this either. Again, he’s included to make the money work. The value to New Jersey would be the pick(s)/prospect(s) coming back.

Ah the Compher is a cap dump chant from the netizens of CF. Would it surprise you to know Compher who is like 200 days older than Wood, has a higher career scoring average, has 4 consecutive seasons of 30pts (prorated for last year), had a much high 5v5 CF, and better xG numbers than Wood? And that’s all having his worst year of his career. On what planet is a 26yr old 30pt scoring forward, who can play all 3 forward positions and special teams, and makes $3.5M become a cap dump?
