I think that deal is fair for both sides. But I agree wth CMcAvoy, 2.5m retention would require more than a 3rd rounder. I'd bet a 2nd rounder would do the trick, or if the retention was reduced to 1m. I could see a team like Arizona agreeing to that.

switch bellows for a second and it looks good as scandella at 1.2 is worth it

Retention isn’t needed, and a third isn’t going to do it. If both Hickey, Komarov are off the books, retention isn’t needed. And a LHD for only 1.2.
