Hehehe, you obviously don't realize Laf's the greatest hockey player ever. He got 21 whole points last year and plays left wing. Where are you gonna find that! Its not like you couldn't have just drafted eklund this year with pretty much the same result.

This trade works but you would need too add Strome for cap reasons at least

The Sabres would be crazy to not take that deal.
TBH with you all, with these two changes this is a fair deal:
Strome, Ryan
Lafrenière, Alexis
2022 1st round pick (NYR)
Joe Thornton had 7 points his first year in the NHL with Boston.
Finally in his fourth year he approached the pt/gm mark.
Maybe the Rangers add their 2022 2nd, but what I posted is close to fair.
