I realize there's always the phrase "your team's prospects are always worse than you think they are". But I mean the drafting community was high on these players prior to the Sharks selecting them, and Bordeleau has looked sensational

affording the players long term is hard

Vancouver declines. Team already added Poolman, Schenn, Hunt, and resigned Hamonic. Don't need Simek and can't afford him.

Eklund it top 6 LW not center, Meir looked horribly awkward on the RW so he has to play LW if we want him the rebound.
Bordeleau would be better set a 2C with Hertl and couture on the top line together.
should look more like...

Meir Couture Hertl
Eklund Bordeleau Labanc
Leonard Dahlin Balcers
Gregor Bonio Merkley

Ferraro Burns
Kinazev Karlsson
Knyzhov Merkley

regardless we have a lot of prospect talent and even if only 1/2 come close to their potential we are looking good for the future
we still have Chekovich, Chmevelski, Coe, Gushchin, Blichhfeld, Pasichnuk who are nhl caliber prospects and a dozen other who could be in 3-4 years.
I hate Doug Wilson but his kid has done a remarkable job in the scouting department.

Eklund could transition to center like Hertl for example.

He has the IQ of a elite center (IQ being one of his strongest tools). He's reliable and sturdy with speed and hands.

Sounds like a great project for a top 6 C. Either way both kids (him and Bordeleau) are going to light it up in the top 6.

100% agree both are studs! i want both playing together but eklund on the wing where we can utilize him better like we did with marleau
