Cool, now sign that other RFA, give you a hint: he’s a left winger

Don Wadell: Ooooh, Yegor Korshkov!

Good for him. Had a crazy hot first 7 games or so in his first NHL season for Ottawa, but it was extremely clear after that start that he really had no business in the NHL that year. I don't think he has what it takes to make the transition to being a regular NHL player, but he's a useful AHLer for sure. Definitely think Ottawa came out ahead on the trade getting Clark Bishop

I liked what I saw from him in the couple games he played in the Nashville series

He's certainly young enough to turn things around, but outside of that start when he put up like 7 points in his first 5 games or something crazy, I've never been tremendously impressed with his overall ability. He's a combination of things that don't quite go together, he's fairly tall, but very scrawny and weak, he's offensively minded but has average footspeed and below average vision/creativity. If there was a spot for him to figure things out, it'd be in the Carolina system.

Good signing. Loved what I saw from him in the playoffs. Probably won't play at all in the NHL this season but if injuries strike he'll definitely be capable of filling in for someone. Would've went for more term personally, but who's complaining if we get Lajoie back.
