Ignoring the rest, signing all the free agents to see who's worth keeping around long term and trading off expansion selections for picks and prospects to make room for UFAs, isn't a bad plan to kickstart a new franchise. Especially if you also can take on cap dumps and trade some of those UFAs at the deadline for additional assets.
