lineup for a miserable season

Description
Kane's probably going to be gone whether it's by trade or buyout. Both Hertl and Couture it seemed like would score points in bunches. They would score a lot of points over a short period of time then struggle to get any points for another period of time.
Balcers and Barabanov looked good and a full season of Barabanov could help their top 6. Meier and Labanc have struggled offensively for the past two seasons. Maybe Labanc's decline can be attributed to having to play more minutes. In his best season so far in his career, Labanc spent a lot of time on the third line with Jumbo Joe and Marcus Sorenson. I'm pretty sure Meier was in the top 6 in his breakout season which was the same season as Labanc's best season so far. (2018-19) Patty Marleau is probably not retiring. He's a bottom 6 player at best, but I don't know if he'll play every night since the bottom 6 for San Jose looks stronger on paper. Goaltending should be better than last year, but should still be bottom 10. Reimer didn't have the greatest season behind a good defensive team and Hill while he had decent numbers, he hasn't played much NHL games. The D core should remain the same as last year. 3 declining vets (you can guess who), two promising young d men (Ferraro, Knyzhov), and one wild card (Simek). Burns is the best out of the 3 declining vets. I thought Simek and Vlasic were going to be playing Top 4 way back in January, but now those two are playing on the bottom pair together. Idk if Ryan Merkley will get his first NHL experience this season. On the right side there is Burns and Karlsson already and Vlasic has moved to play bottom RD. Unless one of them gets injured for a long stretch of time or they look total crap, then Merkley isn't going to play a NHL game the upcoming season.

If the Sharks do well you win. If they play bad, they have their first and they win.

You clearly didn't watch a sharks game last year...or ever. Lines are all wrong. Marleau is NOT returning. do your own crappy team instead of botching ours. derp.

Kane cannot be bought out this year. There isn't a GM in the world that will take him via trade. The only out is if he has his contract terminated when, and if, the NHL finds him guilty of betting on NHL games.

If I were the Sharks, I would bury him. Send him to the AHL. Make sure the coaches don't ever play him there. Force him to desire mutual contract termination. His poison doesn't need to be around.

Sharks aren't going to sign Patty. The have young guys that can fill that roll that are better.

The entire team struggled to score last season. Labanc, was generating offense at 5v5 at a top line rate. If he gets any luck, he'll be well worth his contract. The statement that his offensive decline is due to increased TOI is just ludicrous. It's unequivocally shown that increased TOI equals increased production. Luck has been the problem with Labanc, that's it. Basically the same for Meier with the exception that he has been subject to idiot coaching bouncing him around everywhere.
