Hertl is a rental. He's not going to carry that much weight. That being said, I would make that trade. Dellandrea and a 1st? Sure. But I'd make is a conditional 2nd depending on how deep we get in the playoffs.

Ristolainen got a 1st, 2nd and a player as a guy similar age and cap hit Hertl on the last year of their deals. Hertl has way better metrics and a player and is worth more. 1st and an A prospect is the starting point.

Hertl can only be traded to 3 teams according to his limited NTC. Wouldn’t that limit the level of offer you would receive. In other words, if Dallas is one of those teams, they only have to compete against two other GM, if those GM wants to get Hertl.
