My buddy said Eichel to the Habs, I think he's caping. So here I am, blowing smoke
Wanted to keep Caufield as a winger. Lines and special teams are just me screwin around. I don't really like any of these teams
To Buffalo
-Poehling, I know nothing about him but he's a young center for possibly for later buffalo. Bottom 9 player, maybe middle 6?
-Jake Evans, young and I liked his play when he was in the playoffs, gotta have a body on ice for buffalo
-Primeau, podcast folk seem to think he's the bees knees, so this be the meat of the trade
-First Round Pick, Can you trade Eichel w/out a first? Habs are wildin anyway and will be betting the pick is near the second round
-Weber, Either he's on LTIR and insurance pays or Buffalo has mad cap space and it don't matter. He wouldn't hurt Dahlin or Power in a leadership role
To Montreal
-Jack Eichel, He is Jack Eichel. Assuming he is gunna get healthy, the Habs made the finals last year somehow... this would be them going in. They lost Danault and KK last year, a healthy Eichel is better than both and will provide much more scoring than either could have. 1/2 punch of him and Suzuki would be legit.
To Ducks
-Chiarot, good player. The ducks are looking good on LD; Fowler, Lindholm and Ben, that's nice. Habs can slot the young Russian into the 2nd LD pairing. Chiarot only has a year left, habs have no cap space so they may lose him anyway
-Byron, Money Play, Ducks have cap space and low expectations. They guy is an NHL player when healthy
To Montreal
-Steel, similar to Evans in production, replace him on the bottom 6. Ducks have a lot of good young guys and maybe a change will help Steel
- Pick, I dont know, the Ducks know the Habs are in a bind but Chiariot is good and it feels disrespectful to trade him for just steel, even though the cap dump is included.
Yeah, just about none. I'm assuming Buffalo just throws in a bunch of plugs and prays to the draft lottery gods. Who know what the hell to do with Weber
Sabres have a goalie prospect similar or slightly better than Primeau expected to be in the NHL full time shortly, have another at Michigan this year, and just moved Reinhart for a 3rd prospect. Primeau has no value here. Poehling just signed for league minimum over 2 years. Weber may never play pro again. I like Evans but he is a bottom 6 forward. This trade is not even not close, its not in the same galaxy

They have 3 goalie prospects at same or better value
