Lmao what?

Sharks want a first and a decent-very good prospect. That is not the value, nor the type of assets the Sharks want. The Sens and Sharks will not make a Hertl deal

hard no!!!! the hardest of no’s.
yes that would be a splash! but the sharks got screwed in the Karlsson trade, we’re not getting screwed again by you guys.
Hertl will cost a 1st a 2nd and a b+ prospect.

Tierney doesn't have much value anymore. I kept repeating in the 2019 summer that it was the time to trade him, but Dorion didn't listen

Sharks will want picks/prospects. They are not worried about not reaching the cap floor in the near future so they can trade some players for no salary in return, just picks/prospects.

I'd be ready to give that up

2023 1st round pick (OTT)
Brännström, Erik
Brown, Logan

Edit : of course, type of trade I'm only making if the player comes with an extension. Ottawa has been rebuilding, they don't want "rentals"

I feel like that's far too much to give up for a 1 year rental.

whoever trades for him will have to pre negotiate an extension and have it in place before the trade otherwise you might be right, but players like Hertl don't come available very often.

you might very well be right! But that's what makes trades more fair honestly! the best trades have both sides excited but worried they made a mistake.
when one side is exited and the other hates it it usually means someone got fleeced!
