The penguins wouldn't make that deal because they're taking on an extra 3 million in cap space. It is an even deal otherwise, but the pens wouldn't do it.

Like Nick said, Boedker's been playing LW most of his NHL career. I disagree with dkm1156 though, Pitt would be stupid not to do that deal and find a way to make the money work. Tanev is easily our best defensive Dman, and maybe best transition D as well. Criminally underrated outside of Vancouver.

Definitely agree on Tanev. That would be an awful trade for the Canucks. Uher and Biggs will never a substantial number of games in the NHL so it would be Lovejoy for Tanev.
