Description

I love PK as a person, I think he has some gas left in the tank but I wouldn't want to give up much more than this for him. Maybe I would willing to throw in a decent prospect but his injury concerns might be an issue. I think New Jersey flipping half of his salary to San Jose is fair for like a third or fourth and maybe a decent prospect from the leafs.

I wouldn't even give up that. I would welcome Subban but not this year. He will just clog up Lilijgren and other dman. Trading Dermott and our best PKer is not the move

I see what you mean. I honestly did this more to see if it was possible. I do like the lineup better with Dermott and Mikey in there. Especially if Mikey learns how to put the puck in the back of the net with all the chances he gets.

Money is not an issue for Jersey
They will move PK for full retention for the best possible return. No third team is necessary. I don't think we're bringing him back so not an issue.

3rd team would be required for leafs anyway. No way leafs would have him at 4.5m.

I like the idea of Subban being a leaf, after last season who cares just throw ideas at the wall and see what sticks. But it would definitely have to be double retained for the leafs to even consider.

PK in Toronto would be 200% better then PK in jersey and that's not a slight against jersey, he's just the type of player that thrives in the spotlight

Sign him as a 7th d man next year for league min. Otherwise the move is not worth it.

I agree. But for the Leafs who run so close to the cap anything more than that is not beneficial.
