It does fit in that the sharks need C and RD, however this very much seems like quantity over quality. I don’t think it sends Hertl to the sharks biggest in division rival with retention.

Carrier would not fit any need, if anything I would venture Dadonov instead of Carrier (clear some cap and give the sharks much needed RW)
other than that is a fair trade. just would suck to lose Hertl to a division opponent.

our best RW is Labanc, then 3 LW playing RW and then merkley
in the minors weisblat and coe and blichfeld i’d say we desperately need RW depth
