Friendly reminder that the deadline has passed and it makes more sense to use the '17-18 rosters to show summer moves and beyond.

Not-so-friendly reminder that Pastrnak is probably the biggest untouchable on the B's and you're throwing a heap of garbage at them.

As a Flyers fan, I implore you to understand these trades are completely unrealistic. For instance, Laughton might be worth an established forward plus a pick of he starts the season hot in the NHL. However, if that were the case, the Flyers would be keeping him rather than dealing him for the likes of Purcell.

Matt Read's diminished role and production simply cannot merit anything near as high as a second round pick. Maybe, at the very best you could swap a third and Read for a second but I doubt there would be more than one or two takers due to his cap hit, decline with age and soon to be expiring contract.

That Boston trade is just bonkers. UFA Mason, albatross AMac, and grinder Weiss should net you a loss rather than a gain, let alone a 1st or Pastrnak. I want what you are smoking.

P.S. the Flyers way forward is their enviable prospect pipeline. Get stoked for Lindblom, Sanheim, Hagg, etc. We don't need to trade; we need to be patient right now.
