Yeah and from the Habs side it makes sense as well if Niku or Wideman don't work out but Guhle does.

do the pens need or want chiarot? id say take out pit 2nd, chiarot. habs 1st would have to be unconditional imo.

The only two things I'll nitpick here:

1) The Pens have a logjam at LHD, so there's no need or room for Chiarot, but I think the value of him as a player in this deal is fine.
2) I'd upgrade one of the prospects since the Pens are retaining. Maybe swap one of them out with either Mysak or Ylonen.

1. I know that the Pens have a logjam there but Chiarot would have to be included as we couldn't take the cap hit otherwise. Also his deal is expiring as well so if the deal happened at the deadline it would only be for a few months. If it was to happen now then Chiarot could be flipped at the deadline for an additional 2nd.
2. I wouldn't upgrade either to Mysak as I feel like he will be a great middle 6 option in the next 2 years and may even push Evans back to 4C. Harris and Tuch have the same value as Yelonen but Yelonen is just closer to NHL ready.

There was an article somewhere that said Pittsburgh may not be looking to extend Malkin or Letang, I don't know how true it is as it is not from a trusted source from what I have read but it is out there lol.
