If all active players that passed through the Hurricanes' system were still there. This could be any player selected with a pick they once owned, players on their current roster, and players who were once on the roster, including the minors.

Adam Fox wasn’t any of this. Carolina merely owned his rights and therefore wasn’t on the roster nor was he selected by Carolina.

They owned his rights. So he passed through the system. You don't have to actually play to be a part of the system. I'm stretching on calling a player "part of the system" when they were just a draft pick owned by the team at some point. So if that is true, then owning the rights of a player is probably less of a stretch.
