Edmonton is in Win Now mode - they aren't in the business of taking on cap dumps.

Hagelin move is a no, no reason to break up the most consistent line on the team last year.

Kempny move seems like an overreaction, and the Oilers aren't taking him on anyway.

De Haan move is alright but I'd rather keep Jensen and have TVR on the left to start the year and make moves after some games.

I like Hagelin but we’re in a cap crunch. Paying someone $2.75M to play on the fourth line is a lot.

Understandable, but we can get rid of him at the end of the year and Cousins would ask for something near that much anyway. Just seems like a lateral move to me

They (might) need a top-4 NHL LHD, they don't need any cap dump AHLer being paid $2.5M.
