If I'm Vegas I'd actually look real hard at that. They aren't going to be a good team for a while, adding Callahan now wouldn't change all that much. He's often injured so they would have his LTIR relief and insurance pays most of the salary. When he's healthy he's still a decent player, albeit not worth 5M+.

Getting a 1st rounder is hard to do and your essentially getting one for taking on a couple years of Callahan at which by his second to last year, they could just buy him out.

All this is moot though. He has a NMC.

I think they want to be good fast not suck forever lol. It might take a first and a prospect to get them to take that contract. Plus, LTIR can hurt them.

Besides Callahn having an NMC. I don't see Doan leaving AZ. It is possible but that his home and has been his home for a while now.

Maybe I am blind but I don't think Drouin gets more than $4.5 and it being a bridge deal so he can prove he is worth $6-$7 mil.

Good job. Vegas would like a 1st for taking people. Many people think Vegas wants to be good right away, but they seem impaired to me. Given Vegas can't select the top 7 forwards from any team, i don't see how they'll be anything but worst team in the league year one. Sure they'll have whoever's #4 dman they want, but they also have no prospect pool, so they want like 20 draft picks to establish one. Every other team has 50 contracts and Vegas will only have 30. Deals Deals Deals..... and this one should work for both teams GJ!
