Nah, zero guarantee that Gaudreau re signs, if they trade for Eichel he sits out most of this season and the Flames stink, trading for a long term more affordable asset in Konecny would make more sense. Tkachuk and Eichel would be fine together and Tkachuk has one more RFA year at least

Flames can add a touch that's fine, Gaudreau at 3.75 million in a city where he wants to sign is a huge asset. I think you're trying to diminish Gaudreau which is okay but I don't think you're right.

Oh Gaudreau is great. But he's a rental and konecny is very good and signed for term.

The term makes all the difference and makes konecny more valuable.

I can get that, I guess this would all severely hinge on an extension which is why the deal above is with Philly, Gaudreau likely only goes long term with Calgary, Philly or New Jersey.

Yes if extended built in fair.

Without extension I think it's guadreau plus 2nd for konecny.

1st if Gaudreau resigns or make SCF or something.
