Hate to break it to you, but that is an overpay to rental Hertl for few months.

I don't think there is a reason for the Rangers to do the Kane trade, if the fake vaccination card is true his contract will be terminated and he will move to play in the KHL/Europe. As for Hertl, I don't actually think this package is that bad, it just is missing more piece, perhaps the first from the Kane trade or a conditional second of some kind.

Firstly we do not need Jones. We have a log jam of LD many of whom are ready for the NHL. Othmann is very overrated, Im surprised he was a 1st rounder. Pajuniemi is nothing. A basket of B level prospects is not getting you two top line players. Keep dreaming.
