Yeah Ik, I like Barron but I donlt know where he fits in Bryam-Makar Toews-Girard. But giving him for hoffman will be a mistake

Vancouver declines. We don't have cap space, don't need anymore top 6 wingers, not giving up a 1st and need Juolevi for the PK.

Barron is a right shot and is on the cusp of making the team out of camp, girard byram and toews are all lefties, no need to over think there roster bc of handiness,

Yeah Ik, but if Barron plays, who do you put as bottom pairing D? Can’t see Girard or Toews there and Byram will likely take a top4 role. Its a good thing to have too many good prospect.

Toews has 2 more years on his deal. Girard, makar are signed long term. Byram and Barron round out that top 4 long term i case toews prices himself out of Colorado,

Helleson is the avs d prospect they might look at moving for a fwd, not Barron IMO

COL would NEVER do that. As MTL is about to find out Hoffman is basically a one trick pony that doesn’t play defense. If COL had any interest in him, especially after playing against him extensively last year they would have at the very least talked to him, no way in hell less than a year later they give up a top prospect who is going to be a top 4 dman for him. Such an easy no.

100% agree here. I think Sakic long term sees a top 4 of
Byram Makar
Girard Barron
And if Barron pushes to make the team this year all the better, because you can never have to many good young dmen.

Yup I’d Barron is a head of schedule and pushes his way onto the roster all the better. He would help offset the timmmins lose if he was an nhler this year
