Booooo. Liberate Fort Gabe.

Would you see something like Goncalves to Vancouver a massive loss?

Fortier is a victim of the Crunch's own moves. There's really nowhere for him. When healthy the top 9 looks something like:
Goncalves - Dumont - Richard
Koepke - Hudon - Barre-Boulet
Elie - Smith - ?
Getting Richard for Huntington hurt Fortier's playing time, but he's still been either the top 4th line guy or the third 3rd line player. Even Somppi has been a 4th line player at times.

Goncalves is impressive for his first year. The talent has always been there, even in his scoring rut earlier in the season. I wouldn't consider losing him as a loss worse than N. Foote, so if there's a trade to be made, make it. But I wouldn't go dangling him in team's faces as bait. I'd rather give up Finley.

Trades are crazy, so some fun prospect news from tonight:

Fortier-Somppi-Ryfors excelled together as a line in a 4-2 win.

Somppi: 1G, 2A
Fortier: 1G, 1A
Ryfors: 0G, 3A

Somppi and Ryfors had more points than Fortier?

So, with Raddysh, Katchouk, and Joseph all gone we're going to need some people to step up next season unless we find more fine wine vets on $1m deals. However, I just got to post some things the Fortier-Somppi-Ryfors line has been doing lately.

This is from Saturday night.

From tonight. Fortier highlight for Rangsey.

Also from tonight. All 3 of them got in on this.

Ryfors is looking damn good lately with these 2.

Crunch can clinch playoff spot today. And I believe a win would also put them close to securing a Top 3 finish in their division.

That would mean they won't have to face Utica until the 2nd round.

Looks like the Crunch might have lost Sean Day tonight. Took a hip check to the left leg and had to be helped off the ice. Didn't look good.

Declan Carlile probably becomes a lineup regular in his absence.

Here's the hit. Nothing dirty, just an unfortunate outcome for Day.

I think Claesson may have something go on too. He's missed the last two games but haven't heard anything mentioned about his absence.

I believe the Crunch clinched home ice for their first series tonight.

They're 22-10 on home ice and are currently on an 11-game winning streak at home.

Fingers crossed for a long run this postseason.

Final game of regular season tonight.

2nd place in North Division is already secured, so best to get some people one last game or a little warm-up after sitting for so long.

Cajkovic, Tufto, Element, and Semykin are in after spending most of the season in Orlando.
Looks like rest for Dumont, Hudon, Smith, Barre-Boulet and Lagace.

Nash was recalled by Tampa earlier today (as expected).

Julien Brisebois is in Syracuse tonight!

Damn, Alnefelt is brutally bad in net tonight.

Feels like the Crunch's playoff hopes rest squarely on the shoulders (pads?) of Lagace.

I don't think he'll play any. Should just be a good experience for him getting to be around a pro team during a playoff run.

Well, I just got caught up on the Crunch last night and today after being out of town for their first two games. Series is 1-1 after two games in Syracuse and they now head to Quebec for games 3 and 4.
This is a best-of-5 series, so they will need to split up in Canada at the very least.

@Rangsey look at your boy

They still lost the game after this tied it up late in the 3rd of game 2, but he gave the Crunch a chance

Just witnessed Dumont injure (unintentionally) Lagace by dropping an opponent on him in the crease.

Love Dumont, but too many boneheaded moves by him. Taking out your #1 goaltender in a do-or-die is generally not recommended.

I wouldn't be opposed to putting Elie or Richard into the lineup over Nash if Cernak misses time.

Gotta figure out what prospects for other teams I want to scout now because I didn't spend $29.99 to only watch 5 games Sticking Out Tongue

Dumont is back on an AHL deal. NHL days possibly over? Or we saving contracts for more ELCs?
