Hanifin is more valuable than Reilly to Calgary. Reilly is a pending UFA who may not even stay. For a top 4 dman on an amazing contract for 3 more years. Toronto would be adding. Not Calgary

You really think Hanifin's contract is amazing? He's been decent the past couple of seasons, but I wouldn't say amazing. I totally recognize Reilly may not re-sign as much as I think Calgary would be a good destination but as for Hanifin, I just don't hear that much buzz about him being too incredibly valuable for a top four defenseman, as oppose to a guy like Mattias Ekholm or Mackenzie Weegar. With Brad Treliving, it's hard for me to pinpoint who the untouchables are on the flames

If Calgary had the cap space to resign Rielly then this would be a steal for them. Only reason they wouldn’t do this is bc they have to resign Tkachuk, Gaudreau, and Mangiapane
