Description
fun fact did you know that Kerfoot has an NTC-M clause in the last year of his contract?
(I feel like the only way to move Holl is sending him to the wild since he's from Minnesota with his NTC)
I believe I have overpaid for steel like an idiot I am

Slight overvalue of those leafs players but Greenway or steel could be good pickups for the leafs

Value is probably fine for Steel, but I don't see the Ducks moving him. They've spent the time to develop him, and really have no reason to move backwards on a 23 year old. Maybe the ceiling at this point is as a "Solid in his own zone" 3C, but I'll take it.

MN says no. It doesn't make them better now or in the future.

Minnesota says no. This home thing factor stopped with bill Guerin. Never was a thing. Minnesota doesn't need a 6th d , and doesn't have the cap for Justin holl to play 6th d at his cap. Greenway is young , big, and plays more of a role on Minnesota and cheap.
(Pierre doesn't have any value,) he would @ best play in AHL even if Greenway is traded

I'd accept. The 2022 draft could be the best since 2015 and that's very good value imo. Mikheyev is a rental and Pateryn will probably be AHL bound and neither has much value. So it's basically a 2022 2nd for Steel. Is it realistic? No. Will the Ducks move Steel? I don't think so, but if he doesn't play well enough this season, I think he could get traded.

Bjugstad, Pitlick, Goli, and Lizotte are MN guys GMBG brought in. Drafted another MN guy in Peart. So I'd say it's still a thing.

But nick b was brought in for c position and is thriving on 4th line. Goli is still good on d and cheap. Liz was brought in for forward depth in AHL. I would say Peart being drafted was because he was too good to pass up in 2nd round

Goli is not cheap this year; I do think it wasn't a MN signing and more of a the GM saying I played with that guy. Bjugstad was pretty dreadful at times last year. Lizotte is a d-man. I'm still not sure why Pitlick was claimed over other possibilities.

The #oneof us is still going strong with GMBG. MN needs to put butts in seats, hometown/state players help do that. MN isn't at the Habs level of "must have players from their home province" but it is still a thing.
