I've always been on the "Marner gets a bad rap" team but, if they can't figure it out by January, it's better for this team and his career that he moves on. Sad because I think he's a great player, just not mature enough yet for this market.

Nashville doesn’t need another overpaid player.

I’m not saying Marner is bad or he isn’t worth that money to Toronto. What I’m saying is if you put him with Johansen (our #1C) then the odds are very good he isn’t a point per game player. He needs to be close or more than a point per game to be worth it for us. Add in that the 1st is likely a lottery pick and the additional ~5M in contracts it’s a pass from us. I won’t say if the value is close but I will say the value isn’t what we need.
