thank god pettersson and hughes didnt have his agent.

1mil for a fringe NHL er with zero upside is odd...4 years is insane.

This "bottom 6ers shouldn't be signed to long term deals" thing is really stupid


Hes not a good hockey player so signing him to term is dumb. Plus if he does make the roster he's over paid by about 300k, so it's not a good contract in that way either.

Lou loves paying depth players for term.

He's a fascinating guy. He's so good at some parts of being a gm, but he's also insanely stubborn and flawed in some ways. Suppose it balances out, but he could be even better if he didn't lock himself into these situations.

He signed his $14 million contract before hitting 100 games. So....I'm right. Nothing new here.

Johnston will end his career past 200 games and less than $10 million earned.

Absolutely not a good deal. He shouldn’t even have an NHL contract, much less make over $1 million for 4 years.
