Rangers refused to trade Schneider for Eichel, what makes you think theyll do it for Miller?

Just like they refused to trade Chytil for Eichel. How's that working out?

Eichel still need's surgery and theres no telling the longevity of the surgery.

The Rangers probably always planned to resign Zibanejad so getting Eichel would have never happened unless the Sabres basically gave him away.

Why would you pay to acquire Schneider, then sign someone for 4 million dollars for 4 years to play 3 RD for you? Just sounds like a weird waste of cap space. I would assume he will be ready sooner than 3 years from now (when your 1st RD comes off contract).

Schneider can step in to replace Hamonic or Myers as their contracts expire. He would also likely be among the first callups for injury.

LOL Chytil was in play. So was any combination of strome, krav, Jones, kakko, gauthier, skinner, robertson, cuylee...... etc. Happy to keep all of those in place of someone who puts themself before the team. Eichel is an unbelievable talent; not worth the headache (or cap space for that matter)

JT was as immature as they come when he was in NY, ask the fine people at lazy boy in White Plains how much they loved having him as a guest. Or how many times they escorted him out lol

That was before he put up 3 straight seasons at pretty much PPG and became Vancouver's main offensive driver on forward. Stuff from 5+ years ago isn't nearly as relevant as the 3 most recent seasons he's played. You'd be hard pressed to find a better player available at a cap hit lower than 4M than a 1C/2C who can play PP1 and PK1.
