It would cost too much for the Leafs, and not worth it because both are UFAs anyways next summer. Manson's offense has dropped off, but still a top 4 dman. Rakell is still a great top 6 forward. And with the salary retained, probably a first round pick, Robertson, Holl/Dermott, and a second. Way too much, would rather wait till free agency.

As for Rakell, probably a prospect like Alex Steeves, a 1st could seal it. Rookie GM in ANA so could be a fleecing or a stand down

A bottom 4 dman and a middle 6 wing shouldn't be much. Honestly, maybe 1st, 3rd, Abruzzese and Dermott?


Honestly I think Murray screwed over the Anaheim rebuild. Lindholm, Rakell and Manson should have all been traded by now. Lindholm is likely gonna be the only one who gets a big return now.

They asked for a 1st+ for each one last year without retention so…start there.

But don’t look now, they are 2nd in the division and the division sucks so they may not be sellers anyway.
