The Rangers are not a team that can build and develop players. The team have Artemi Panarin and is in a win now mode. Why not just build around Panarin, Kreider, Fox and Zibanejad all the way?

The Rangers got older but much more formidable indeed.

Let me take all your young up and coming talent and one cap dump (that doesn't want to play in Canada) and give you all of our old declining guys so we can rebuild faster.
I'm surprised every GM in the league isn't taking this approach..........
