Description

Adding Forsberg but keeping the 1st and 2nd line intact make this team look very deep.
Hopefully Forsberg can click with Newhook and sign a good deal to make a good 2nd line next year.
Less retention on the trade is possible.
JoJo doesn't seem waiver exempt so I think they'll keep him with the big team when Francouz is back.

I'd love to add Forsberg, but you'd need some better prospects to make this trade work, otherwise it's Nashville would certainly decline.

You need centre depth for a deep playoff run, which makes this a bad trade.

MacKinnon is the 2nd best player in the league, Kadri is on fire right now, Newhook is only looking up and is having a good start, Helm is a sturdy 4th line center.

Center depth is not a problem for the Avs. We have no problem trading Compher if the return is good.

Avs accept. NAS probably declines as they can probably get a better offer. Up Kovalenko to say Kaut and maybe you're closer.

Yeah, Kovalenko probably has a bigger value for avs than anyone else. Kaut is probably a good add.

I would certainly hope that's not needed. Otherwise it would basically mean BB and Francouz is still injured and that he doesn't trust Kadri to not get suspended/Newhook is ready to fill in as 2nd line center.
