Barzal wouldn't be dealt in any circumstance but he brings back more than Lindholm. Starting point for talks to get serious is probably Tkachuk or nothing

Would love Barzal, would probably not move Lindholm to get him though as that doesn't actually fix anything for the Flames. Would not do Monahan for White and no reason to pay that much to move a pending UFA a quarter way through the season

Hardly better. The problem is the Islanders wpuldnt do that. Whatever Calgary has to add make its instantly not worth it, especially with the Selke caliber season Lindholm is having.

A trade like this just shuffles deck chairs for the Flames and looses other assets. Also pisses off your Vezina favorite goalie
