I only see SJ retaining half if there is an actual decent return. Because we can buy him out for much cheaper than this.

I think this would be best case scenario NGL. Sure he's a good player, but he is terrible in the lockerroom wherever he goes

You don't understand. His buyout is cheaper than retaining half. It makes zero sense to retain half unless the return is favorable. Pearson does not make this even remotely smart.
