not sure how the sharks view simek but on the ice this trade makes sense for pit at least. However if there is one guy in hockey who won't tolerate crap off the ice its brian burke (who will def have a say in trades) so i don't see pit dealing for him

I would take all these trades imo. Flip Simek though and call up POJ instead. Or just bury Somek in the ahl

Value isn't terrible but I wouldn't want to take on the Matheson contract. Simek is a solid defensive defenseman if you don't force him to be more of a puck-mover than he actually is.

We’re just adding more cap with this trade. We don’t need another Dman. Whole point of reading Kane is first and foremost dumping cap. Well buy him out if need be.
