With 8 to 10 teams already inquiring i’m sure they can do better for JD.

Only names i have heard so far are Dylan Strome and Mason Appleton.

Habs will be seeking a 1st or 2nd+ for Chiarot.

The bonus for Chiarot is his cap hit is low and if MTL retains salary then you've got a physical top 4 playoff D for $1.75M. This doesn't benefit the Ranger's as much as it would another team that's up against the cap, like Edmonton for example, so I'm assuming MTL would have better negotiations with another team on Chiarot.

That said I could see Gorton reaching out to his old connections in New York to discuss some potential deals at the TDL.
