I know Turcotte hasn't had a superstar development like expected, but I don't see LA moving on from him so quickly. Petry is great and there's a lot of uncertainty with Gorton there but I feel he signed that extension to be a part of the Habs for better or for worse

They wouldn’t make that trade and Petry would have to basically go back to being himself which might happen but is unlikely. Even then that isn’t the type of return we will get I don’t think. Petry is 34 so I would expect a 2nd and B prospect in return at this point plus we’ll have to take back a bad contract to make the money work. Only a contending team will want Petry, LA is fresh out of a rebuild, doesn’t make a ton of sense.
