Upfront is not where we need help.

Kerfoot and Bunting have been amazing.

A top 4 RHD is probably the only hole this team has right now.

Holl isn’t terrible, but could be much better.

i personally think they need another top 6 winger. it bumps everyone down into a position they should be in (ie. Kerfoot) Only Bunting has looked comfortable on the left side there, and he has never done it for a full season.

I also think adding another D is needed, I don't want Dermott in the top 4. Holl has looked pretty bad this year. Maybe he can get back to how he looked last year but who knows.

Kerfoot has 16 points, all at 5v5.
    0.66 PPG.
He fits in more than fine.

You also traded our 1B, defensive depth, and offensive depth and two top draft picks just to give a slight upgrade to the bottom 6.

    Not a smart move(s)

Kerfoot is scoring at nearly double his expected goals rate right now. Good production while you can get it, but I might not bet on it going forward, because that's bound to regress eventually. (Not saying Giroux is necessarily the solution but if you're insulating your roster it's a decent idea to invest in some top-six insurance).

Definitely could use defensive help too but what else is new. Could be solved by just playing Sandin more, he's been really good. It's a lot tougher (and more expensive) to find a top four RHD, something I'm sure is unsurprising

I say this only to be honest, I doubt Giroux would waive for Toronto. His only speculated interest in waiving would be to chase a cup, and given the recent playoff.... issues the Leafs have had I don't see him choosing them as the best fit
