Don't get me wrong, I don't want to move him any more than you do but unless we get another couple of injuries that we can Kucherov, it's inevitable that $7M has to come off the books and a UFA making $5M makes a lot of sense. It hurts me to think this way but the accountant in all of us has to override the fan in all of us right now.

What about a Gardiner for Dadonov swap? While I would prefer Smith, that move doesn’t make sense for a team, like Vegas, trying to win.

Why do you have to make any trades. Eichel is just playing one third of the season so his cap hit isn't 10m

I wouldn't actually mind McNabb to Detroit. He could be serviceable there. Not sure which teams would be on Dadonov's 10 team list but I'm guessing it's any team with cap space that can fit him.

They want to win right now, trading away a player that's playing really well doesn't make sense for that. If they do need to move someone they should definitely look at moving Dadonov first, but his 10 no trade list might make it difficult as he could put every team that could afford him on it.

Because when his 10 million comes off LTIR, Vegas won’t have 3-3.5 million of cap space available.
