Trading for Jakob Chychrun will force EDM to put Keith on the 3rd pairing, giving him a sheltered role on the team, which I believe is better for him.

We've seen that in Chicago with sheltered minutes Keith played well, so by trading for Chychrun, the Oilers will be able to give Keith a more sheltered role.

If that's what the ask is, the Oilers should walk. No doubt Chychryn improves the Oilers but you've now lost your top D prospect, a middle 6 winger on a cheap contract, and 2 years of 1st rounders which directly impacts your ability to fill other holes.

Sounds good, I'd be much more willing to do that, I've just been hearing that the rumoured price for him is crazy high.

I almost prefer that some team ridiculously overpays for him like this rather than my team get him at a reasonable price.
