Petersens people have stated numerous times he is not going to sign with the Sabres and that he would go the free agent route. Grant is not worth 500,000. He can't score in NHL. Nylander has struggled so much he needs another full season in AHL.

I've seen reports Kulikov is miserable in Buffalo and waiting for the horrid injury-riddled season to be over. I think the deal you signed him to is what he will be getting though. Antipin I think is young enough to sign a similar deal to Panarins first at 925K for two years and performance bonuses. And Vatanen will need a bigger piece going Anaheims way then that. Kane for Vatanen is what I would think

where are these "sources" you speak of regarding Petersen? It's still up in the air what Petersen will be doing but I see it likely Buffalo will be a top option. Easily could be starter on a championship caliber team in 3-4 years

I've never seen anything about Petersen not wanting to sign with the Sabres.

Petersen going free agent has been reported in the Boston Globe, Notre Dame TV and Notre Dame Radio. It sucks but its hard to sign guys when your team has a loser reputation.

Can you provide a link to the info from Boston Globe? I couldn't find it online. Who was the source on Notre Dame TV/Radio? Is it just random speculation and conjecture or is it, as you said, "his people"? Who are his people?

      I'd go with -
      L1: Kane - Eichel - Reinhart
      L2: Nylander - O'Reilly - Okposo
      L3: Foligno - Ennis - Baptiste
      L4: Carrier - Rodrigues - Gionta

Unless there's a link somewhere online, it didn't happen. laugh

Agents rarely go public about not resigning with a team to never not give themselves that option if ever they need it.

I highly doubt these so called reports but will reserve reservations if proven otherwise.
