There are just too many "what ifs" going on with the Pens and while I would like to see them upgrade their back-up position, it's very unlikely even if they wanted to that they'd be able to spend $2M+ on a back-up.

What about Montreal retaining salary?

I swear I'm not trying to be a pain, but the other issue salary in general. I think this is a very fair deal, but the Pens have zero space, so they'd need send some out. Now, if they could move DeSmith in another deal or you guys take him then flip him, that would work perfectly.
