Bailey is a certified 2nd line playoff player, and a change of scenery may boost his production value in the regular season. And he doesn't even have a bad contract imo, 5 million aav isn't bad for a player of his production. It's not great either, but Calgary would have the cap space to sign him, especially if they want to get the Stanley Cup.
No way in a million years Bailey has negative value.

Then he can be sold at "change of scenery" price, I wouldn't trade any of those 3 assets alone for him though.

Bailey is defensively disabled and his offense has fallen off almost entirely

Off-season, + he was second highest in scoring last season on a Islanders team that went to the conference final and lost in game 7 to TBL.
I regret my change of scenery comment because that's not true, he's an offensive dynamo.
He's a good, veteran, leadership player.

You can keep him then, zero interest. Especially at that absurd price

Dobson better sign for 8 years with that AAV. Bailey stinks. Maybe not quite negative value but I'd move him for a 3rd round pick tomorrow just to free the cap space. I wouldn't make that Varlamov trade either. Unnecessary cap coming back

Bailey is arguably the worst forward on the islanders, he’s nothing more than a 4th liner. He’s fallen off a cliff
