Why would the Leafs pay for a slightly younger and not as good version of Ritchie?...

So I'm not sure what makes Crouse "better" they have similar stats, play a similar style and the only actual difference I can find is that Ritchie's career advanced metrics (Corsi and whatnot) are actually MUCH higher than Crouse's have ever been...
