Ya Chychrun is on a fantastic contract. Vegas had to take on all of Eichel’s contract without returning dead weight. Also Eichel was a gamble health wise, that’s why price was low.

Agree Yotes don't need a top6 W like Tuch, but Blues don't have a Krebs-like prospect. Thomas a couple yrs ago but he's not going to be available now. Anyway, I know analysts are saying it but the speculation that the return needs to be what Eichel got doesn't make sense to me. Teams are at different stages of rebuilding and looking for different things. I think the formula from the Blues side of Perunovich + Neighbours/Bolduc/ maybe Kostin + 1st + another pick/prospect + Scandella for cap is the one that makes sense. Not sure if Arizona would listen to it. They could probably find a better, younger prospect to base the deal around, or get a pick closer to the lottery than the Blues 1st might project.

Just curious as an outsider, but is D really the addition the Blues need to address? Are Blues comfortable with riding Binnington in the post season? Last 11 games, .890 SV% and a 4-5-2 record. Is Lindgren and Husso capable backups. IMO looking for a goalie is the better option.

Without binner we get blown out 7-1 a lot of games
Husso has proven his a capable this year too remeber the in 2019 the blues wanted to call Husso up first before binner but he got sick

Ok, all good. I don't watch a lot of STL games. Just seeing his numbers haven't been the greatest. Thought a goalies addition would be more of a priority than D.

The Blues have also had several games where they're up like 6-1 midway through the game and then end up winning 6-3 or 6-4.

Goalies are always a concern but too random to really address mid-season. Just gotta hope they are hot at the right time IMO.

This is closer than most proposals I've seen but don't think it's there either. I really think Perunovich, Hofer, Bolduc, a 1st and a cap dump would be what gets it done. I know Bill Armstrong would love to add Hofer, Arizonas goaltending is ass. Kostin doesn't have much trade value at this point, but would be solid to hold onto because he can play now for cheap , same goes for Walman. May even take Neighbours instead of Bolduc, and I know that would be their best offer especially considering the connection Armstrong has to that pick and the connection between Neighbours and Dylan Guenther. But I wouldn't trade Neighbours.
