Dallas declines as well. They aren't trading Klingberg for a guy that's going to be on a 1-year contract after this season. They'd be voluntarily putting themselves right back in the same boat they're currently in with Klingberg. Dallas trades Klingberg for young, future assets (plural) to fit into the rebuild/retool they are about to undergo

Are you kidding me? Dallas should take this and run. Vancouver would never trade Miller for a rental when Miller himself isn't a rental this season

Miller is on a 1-year contract after this year. Why would Dallas trade their best trade asset for a guy that's not going to help them get any further in the postseason than Klingberg will this year over trading Klingberg for a package of players that will be able to help this team 2-3+ years down the road when they hope to be competitive again?

Not knocking the value. I'm saying that Miller does not fit where this Stars team is headed. They need to be focused on the future instead of "win now" players, because that window has all but closed.
