I think the forwards look about right. Maybe we keep Johnsson and someone else moves to bench.

There is also the chance, if his recovery is not going well, that we don't re-sign Miles Wood (small chance, but there is a chance).

Defense also looks right except Mukhamadullin will play 2022-23 in KHL. They have already announced his loan.

Goaltending is ?? with Bernier's health. May have Daws or Schmid as backup.

Ok, I didn't know that about Mukhamadullin. That's good though, he can develop for another year over there.

I didn't put Luke Hughes there, do we maybe put Siegenthaler and Walsh as a pairing?

Also, just this year so far, not the biggest fan of Kuokkanen. Do we trade him?

And I would rather keep Wood, I know he's injured but a great player for us and I'd like to get more info on his injury and see him play for us.

I think we see Luke Hughes at the end of the season when the NCAA season is done. So around April 15, 2023. Starts first full year 2023-24.

Walsh we probably see later this year (especially of we trade Subban). He has been very good in Utica this year, not only in putting up points, but also his even strength goals against is 2nd on team.

Keep Kuokkanen. I think he has looked good recently with Mercer. He must have been in hibernation first 20 games.

100% with you on Wood. We need him on the ice, and in the locker room.

Also, how do you feel about Sigenthaler? I feel Fitzgerald got us a gem in Jonas. I've loved his game this year, solid defense and solid pickup.

Regarding the forwards, I’d prioritize keeping Johnsson to fill in the top 9, dump Zacha, Bastian and Boqvist and sign a top LW/RW such that Hughes and Nico have at sufficient talent around them they both can’t play with Bratt.

On defense, if Smith picks it back up, pulling whomever is looks best from Utica makes sense. If he doesn’t, likely will need to sign someone to be the fifth defensemen until two of Luke, Muk, Walsh, Smith emerge.

Need a 1b goaltender. Hopefully Bernier recovers and the simplest solution is to ride the hot goalie as Bernier and Blackwood have their ups and downs.

Also, at a minimum replace Recchi

I think we should keep Johnsson over Kuokkanen
The 6th dman spot either goes to Walsh or Bahl
I agree with Wood. He's a big part of the team on and off the ice. We should keep him unless he seriously regresses after hip surgery
Devils should try to sign another vet backup goalie. Hopefully 3rd time is the charm
