Pens fans can dream.....I hate seeing Bonino get paid that much....between this season and last he has only produced at the end of the season. Id rather bay him like 2.75. and its always painful to see 14.5 mil tied up in 2 dmen....
The only downside to this type of signing is we only have 3.5 mill left and 6 guys getting under 1 mil. and Guentzel and Rust will be due raises and then ZAR and Sprong are in the waiting and are going to want more money....

If Shatty signs for 7 and Bons at 2.5. the team has 5 mil. at the 76mil cap space. that will barely be enough to make 2 of them happy. the rest will walk ot get traded. and then we still have to make sure there are 4 or 5 guys on small deals of under 1mil.

Wouldn't the Pens be the one sending over a pick? They are trying to shed cap and Fleury has an NMC. Would make more sense for WPG to get a draft pick.

I think the Fleury trade is really close. WIN needs a capable, reliable starter. Maybe they send back a third or fourth instead of that second.

Shattenkirk signing doesn't make sense to me. I think the Pens need a top pairing lefty, not a right to play behind Letang. Alzner or Orlov makes more sense to me.
