Why would wild give away two Winger when they will also be losing fiala?

This is actually petty good. Maybe increase the retention to 40% and I think it's done.

@Wildnochance Beckman is fine to lose (compared to other pieces), and I'm not sure you guys can afford Greenway next year too. Plus they take on that waste of space Rask. This is a good deal for a chance at a cup.

Rask + Beckman + 2nd. I agree that Greenway probably won’t be on the Wild next year, although I kind of get the feeling they want him around for any sort of run they do this year.

Minnesota would be losing two Winger, and having no one else to replace them much less possible lost of fiala. So Minnesota gets stronger elsewhere only to get weaker at another position. It's not a bad deal at all, but Minnesota isn't a championship or contender. They can't beat Colorado or teams like them

I agree about the winger bit (thank goodness Boldy seems to be a player), but disagree on their status as possible contenders. They’ve beaten Toronto, Boston, Tampa Bay, Washington, Edmonton, and Pittsburgh so far this year.. some of those with big time players out of the lineup. A player like Giroux puts them over the top.

I honestly want to see Minnesota prove they can beat fast, straight dynamic team like Colorado with those players before feeling reassured! Colorado has Minnesota's number

I’d argue Tampa and Washington are two of those kind of team, but yes - Colorado is a force. Too bad for them they haven’t even made it to a WCF yet with that squad.

If I'm PHI, I do this Giroux (with salary retention) for Greenway straight up. Giroux's done in PHI and Greenway is a very useful, young player that I'd love to have on my team and he can be signed for a team-friendly figure.

You need more than Greenway cause he has arb rights and even though Philly will have cap space, they can't overspend on him cause he hasn't shown enough yet. There's gotta be a good pick involve along with a prospect, esp with retention. MIN has a very good chance this year, and it's gonna be a youngster show for the next few with guys being lost cause of the cap situation. They have an excellent nucleus of young talent, so I say go for it now.

As a Flyers fan I pass on this entire trade. Giroux will get you a 1st+. Flyers dont need 3 forwards from MIN or any other team. There are other teams that will be in the running if Giroux waives no trade clause.
